Harley Quinn
Off all the characters in the Suicide squad, Harley Quinn’s character has been very popular among the readers. She is popularly remembered as Batman’s villain. She is romantically linked with the Joker, the formidable Villain of the Gotham City, Batman. She met him while working as a psychologist at Gotham City's Arkham Asylum where the Joker was also a patient.
She comes from a broken, dysfunctional family which explains why she chose to be a psychologist in the first place. Her real name is Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel, which she changes to Harley Quinn when she becomes an accomplice to the Joker. She is one of the complex characters and her back story as to how she ended up with the ever abusive and manipulative Joker has been applauded by the critics.
One of the reasons why she is a popular character is that she brings a kind of comic relief to the whole mad Joker story line. She is sexy, smart and witty and has considerable influence on the Joker. Perhaps, her twisted love affair and sexual chemistry with the Joker is also one of the reasons why she comes off as one of the strongest comic book character as well. If not for the Joker and all the things she does for him, she could easily pass off as a super heroine.
