Power Rangers – How they are Made

Power Rangers is a popular television series franchise. Inspired by the Japanese tokusatsu Super Sentai series, the Power Ranger series has become one of the most popular live action superhero television series. Apart from the series and movies and games, it has also inspired merchandise and has a built itself into a popular merchandising franchise as well.

Over the last decade the franchise has grown both in popularity and commercially. It is basically targeted at children and teens. The franchise has so far produced 24 television seasons of 20 different themed series and three full motion picture movies in 1995, 1997 and 2017.

The series follows story of a team of youths who have been recruited for playing the part of superheroes of kind. They are trained by their mentor to morph or transform into Power Rangers and fight with evil power.

Power Rangers and How They Are Made

Each series focuses on the lives of the youths who have been selected to become Power Rangers. The rangers go through the rigorous training to learn the art of morphing where they become powerful superheroes. The rangers are identified by their colorful skin-tight spandex suits and helmets. Each ranger wears different color than the others. The Morphed Rangers are very powerful with enhanced strength, agility, durability and precise combat powers. Rangers come with their own unique powers or abilities that become even more enhanced when they morph. Some of the unique abilities include super-speed, element manipulation, extra-sensory perception or invisibility.

No superhero is complete without their unique weapon. The Power Rangers have unique weapons for fighting the enemies. Some enemies are not easy to defeat and when the Rangers face such enemies they utilize individual Zords that combine into a larger Megazord. One team of Power Rangers includes three to five members generally with more joining them as the story moves forward.

The Power rangers are naturally disciplined and have to follow rules all the time. One of the important things for the rangers to remember is that they cannot use their power for personal gains. They also have to keep their identities hidden from others. The breaking of rules or disobeying can result in losing of powers.

The series franchise began with the first movie Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. There are many Power Rangers but some of them more popular than the others.

Jason Lee Scott – The Red Ranger

He is one of the first Power Rangers featured from the start of the series.  He is a seventeen-year-old high school student with a black belt in karate and the leader of the team. He is quite patriotic and takes his martial arts practice seriously.  The source of his power is Tyrannosaurus Rex and his choice of weapon is the Power Sword and he pilots the Megazord when it is fully assembled.

Kimberly Ann Hart – The Pink Ranger

She is another of the popular Power Rangers. She is beautiful, intelligent and just like any other girl of her age she loves shopping and looking in the mirrors. She also loves adventure and gymnastics. Her source of power is the Pterodactyl. Her weapon is the Power Bow.

Billy Cranston – The Blue Ranger

Billy Cranston is ultra intelligent Power Ranger and is considered as a nerd. People may have a little trouble understanding him. He is good natured, genius and is studious. He has a very active student life with interest in debate team, the science club, the math club, the chess club, Mensa and William F. Buckley Vocabulary society. The source of his power is the Triceratops and his weapon is the Power Lance.

Power Rangers are the teen superheroes who are trained to fight the evil forces who threaten mankind. They come with special powers and stick to code of conduct and rules as well to become a true hero in every sense.
